Paul Seigel
from Dartoid's World and I will be
shooting some matches on the Vortex Electronic Dart Game Saturday Sept 21st at
5pm. All are welcome to come up and watch. Hopefully this will be included in
one of he's upcoming articles!
As you know I have been doing a little research to be
prepared before we meet up at the Nutty Irishman. I've checked in with Merlyn
Technology. I've e-mailed Glenn Remick. Sometime yesterday it occurred to me
that there might be something about the new board in an old issue of Bull's Eye
News. So I made a note to myself on a little card and stuck it in my pocket.
"Check BEN for Vortex," it read. It was my reminder to
look through my old stack of darts magazines when I got home after work.
So the phone just rings and it's my wife, Marylou, who just
got home from walking my golden retriever, Bentley. She asks me, kind of
worried-like: "Is there something wrong with Bentley that you haven't
mentioned?"
"Huh?"
And Marylou says: "Well, I found this card in your shirt
pocket that says 'check Ben for Vortex' and I thought he might have a rash or
something somewhere."
So, shit, I had to tell her I wouldn't be home on Saturday
night!
I made arrangements with the distributor & the manufacture to ship
me "Vortex" for 30 days as a field test for everyone to try it out. It's
a regular dart board that automatically keeps score. (like the soft tip game
except it uses a regular bristle dartboard )
Very Cool!!
I will only have it for 30 days unless a
vending company becomes interested in it.

Currently it's not at the Nutty, I'm looking for a home for it. The 30 days are
over.
