Opening letter 2003-2004 season

Russ Jasinski
President
Dear Sponsor/Captain, August 04, 2003
On behalf of the newly elected Officers and Executive Board, it is my pleasure to welcome you and your team to the 30TH season of team competition in the QUAKER CITY ENGLISH DART LEAGUE, Inc.
This year brings several changes that you should be aware of and we ask that you pass them along to your players. As you may have heard, starting this year we have a new Headquarters for the league - The Polonia Club, located at 4431 Belgrade St. We are extremely excited about this new opportunity and are sure that the membership will be as well. Also, as a result of the election ballot, the annual picnic was overwhelmingly voted OUT (144-56) in favor of $30 player dues for the year. This is a 58% reduction in dues and is clearly what the voting members wanted.
We have made, what we feel, are several positive and necessary changes to both the by-laws and rules and regulations for the upcoming season. PLEASE read them carefully and encourage your team and sponsor to read them as well. It has always been our goal to be fair in interpreting and enforcing the rules as written…this year will be no different. REMEMBER – starting this year, by rule, the roster size is limited to 10 players.
This year’s registration meeting will be held on Sunday, September 7th at the Polonia Club from 1pm to 3pm. PLEASE complete ALL information requested on the registration form completely as possible. This includes the correct address & spelling of the Sponsoring bar, player names, phone numbers, the night desired to play and the division shot last season. Incomplete forms WILL NOT be accepted. Rosters will not be accepted without the appropriate registration, sponsor and player monies.
PRO LEAGUE DRAFT will be Wednesday September 3rd 8pm at Curran’s 6900 Old State Rd. $50 deposit is required to put your name on the draft list. If you are not picked your deposit will be returned.
