Dear Sponsor/Captain,

Welcome back! On behalf of the Officers and Executive Board, it is my pleasure to welcome you and your team to the 37th season of team competition in the QUAKER CITY ENGLISH DART LEAGUE, Inc. This year is once again an election year and there will be more to come later in the season – in order for the league to continue, we need people to get involved in the operation of the league, and becoming a board member is a great first step. There is no prior experience necessary, other than the commitment of your time and input.

As we do each year, we have reviewed the By-Laws and Rules and Regulations. There are no new, significant changes but please read them carefully and encourage your team and sponsor to read them as well. It has always been our goal to be fair in interpreting and enforcing the rules as written….this year will be no different. Standings will be available via Phillydarts.com and QCEDL.COM and will only be printed and handed out at the monthly captain’s meeting.

A league meeting schedule will be included in the Captain’s team packet as well as other important information pertaining to league meetings, dart shoots and fund raisers. REMEMBER – meetings are for the membership; regular attendance is one of the requirements of being a team captain or co–captain. If you are a captain, make sure share the information with your team and your sponsors.

IMPORTANT: Once again this year we will try something new – we will be holding team registration starting in August. We are doing this for several reasons, one of which being the ability to have the 1^st half end before Christmas without having to shoot the week leading up to the Holidays. The registration meetings will be held onSaturday, August 28^th from 1pm-3pm and Sunday, August 29^th from 1pm-3:00 pm, both at Curran’s Irish Inn (Longshore & Old State Road). We hope to avoid the situation of teams missing registration completely, SO GET THE WORD OUT.

 We will only accept late registrations on Thurs. September 2^nd from 7pm-9pm @ Tacony Billiard and Saturday, September 4^th from 1pm-3pm @ Curran’s.

FAILURE TO REGISTER A TEAM IS NOT THE LEAGUE’S FAULT AND PAST SPONSORSHIP OR MEMBERSHIP DOES NOT A GUARANTEE SPOT IN THE LEAGUE.

Please fill in all information requested on the registration form as completely as possible. This includes the correct address and spelling of the sponsoring bar, player names, phone numbers, checking the box for the desired night of play and the division shot last season. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. Rosters will not be accepted without the appropriate registration sponsor and player monies.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THERE BE PLAYER ADD ONS AFTER YOUR TEAM IS PLACED IN YOUR DIVISION EXCEPT BY RULE UNDER ARTICLE XVI-4 & AT THE DISCRETION OF THE BOARD.

**THIS MEANS NO MORE FREE DROP/ADD PERIOD DURING THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF THE HALF**

REGISTRATION & SPONSOR FEES

Sponsors note: This is a combined fee. It covers the league sponsorship fee and the cost on an official league dart board for each team registered.

Sponsor Fee:

1 Team = $165.00

2 Team = $270.00

**Each additional team $125.00

For example: a team with 8 players + sponsor = $485 for the year

PLAYER DUES

TOTAL PLAYER DUES FOR THE SEASON ARE NOW $40.00 PER PLAYER AND ARE DUE IN FULL BY THE PICKUP MEETINGS.

****NO EXCEPTIONS PER THE TREASURER****

ANY MONEY OWED FROM PREVIOUS YEARS MUST BE PAID BEFORE A PLAYER OR SPONSOR WILL BE ALLOWED BACK IN THE LEAGUE

PICK- UP MEETING AND SEASON START DATES

There will also be 2 pick-up meetings – Saturday, September 18^th from 1pm-3pm and Sunday, September 19^th from 12pm-2pm, at Currans Irish Inn.

The executive board has set Tuesday, September 21^st and Thursday, September 23^rd for the start of the 2010 season. Now that the Quaker City English Dart League (Q.C.E.D.L.,Inc.) is an incorporated, non-profit organization we are required to include the following: All players playing in the Q.C.E.D.L. do so at their own risk of injury and hereby release the Q.C.E.D.L. Inc. from all liability and indemnity.
